The garage storage process

Garage assessment
We look at the garage, talk through what actually needs storing, and identify what will work for the space, the budget and how you use it.

Zone planning
Dedicated zones for tools, sports equipment, seasonal items and vehicle clearance, so every category has a designated home rather than a pile.

Professional installation
We install the complete system — wall cabinets, slatwall, overhead storage and workbenches. Most garages are completed in one to two days.
Wall & overhead storage
Cabinets come in a range of sizes and configurations, from lockable tool storage through to open shelving for things you reach for daily. Slatwall panels with modular hooks, baskets and holders adapt as your needs change — bikes, garden tools, sports gear and holiday decorations all hang off the same system.
Ceiling-mounted overhead platforms take the seasonal items, luggage and everything else you touch twice a year. The heavy-duty systems hold 500–1,000+ lb depending on your ceiling construction.
Premium garage features
Integrated workbench lighting, locking cabinets for chemicals and tools, bike lifts and golf bag storage. We can also coordinate epoxy floor coatings as part of a complete garage transformation.

Ask a designer01Will the cabinets survive Florida humidity?
They are specified for it. We use moisture-resistant materials and elevate the cabinets off the slab, which is what protects the contents from humidity and any standing water. Materials and workmanship carry the lifetime warranty either way.
02How much weight will overhead storage hold?
Between 500 and 1,000+ lb depending on your ceiling construction. We assess the structure during the garage assessment rather than assuming it.
03Can I still park in the garage?
That is usually the point. Zone planning includes vehicle clearance, so the cabinets, slatwall and overhead platforms are placed around the space the cars actually need.
04Do you do epoxy floors as well?
We can coordinate epoxy floor coatings as part of a complete garage transformation, so the floor and the storage are done together rather than in two separate disruptions.

What moves the price
- Linear feet, not square feet. A closet is priced by how much wall you are filling and how tall you take it, not by the floor area of the room.
- Drawers. A drawer bank is the single biggest line item in most closets — boxes, runners and fronts all cost more than an open shelf.
- Doors and glass. Solid fronts add cost over open shelving; glass and reeded glass add more again.
- Lighting. LED shelf and rod lighting means a driver, a switch and sometimes an electrician, so it is quoted separately.
- Islands and seating. Beautiful, and the thing most likely to move a walk-in from mid four figures into five.
